When it comes to decorating your home and office space, it can be difficult to determine what type of decor ideas to incorporate for an environment that you truly love.
Although offices were once void of most color or decor, more people are choosing to enhance the area with the same types of furnishings that are used in homes.
Use wallpaper on an accent wall
To create a stunning space that isn’t bland, opt for a bit of texture on one of the walls by applying wallpaper. Consider using a chevron print or stripes to make a bold statement that still looks professional.
The design will add extra detail to the room and will make it more cozy to work or relax in.
Add decorative items on a bookshelf
Instead of overloading bookshelves with too many textbooks or novels, opt for breaking up the items with a bit of decor. Opt for plants, picture frames, and small Disney figurines to enhance the aesthetics of the room.
The decor will also help you to feel inspired in the space instead of feeling like you’re surrounded by clutter.
Use a few throw blankets
For added color to the room, add a few throw blankets that will allow the area to feel cozy. A blanket can be added to the back of a desk chair or even on the arm of a loveseat.
Throw blankets can also be placed in a large wicker basket in the corner of a room or near the doorway for added decor that is also plenty functional.
Group mirrors together
Group different sizes of mirrors together for an eclectic look that will brighten up a wall and can work as the focal point of the room. Use mirrors that have different textures and colors on the frame to mix it up.
Hang a hat or two
Use a coat rack or hooks on the wall for a vintage touch that allows guests to hang their coats or hat. Hang a fedora hat or a wide-brimmed hat on the wall for extra decor that doesn’t look forced.
It makes for a casual way of decorating with a unique look that isn’t expected in an office or in the entryway of a home.
Add plants
Plants will help to liven up the space and make it feel fresher. Add a fig leaf tree near the window or a few smaller plants on a desk or dresser. The touches will work as decor but can also incorporate a different color into the room.
By following a few decor ideas, you can use different design elements in both the home and office. The styles will make each room look effortlessly decorated and incredibly comfortable.
You’ll not only feel proud to show off the space, but can enjoy spending several hours working long into the night or relaxing with your family and friends.
