Your child’s room has to have functional space, which provides good conditions for sleeping, learning and playing.
It is important to involve your children in decorating their rooms. When it comes to choosing colors, shapes, and furniture, listen to their wishes.
Although you may not agree with all of them, accept at least part of the proposals because they are creating the space according to their needs.
Arrange your kid’s room according to the preferences of your child. For young athletes, design their room sports-style, for those who love cartoons, with their favorite characters, and so on. Be imaginative and creative, and listen to your child.
Walls
The walls in your child’s room can be completely transformed with a layer of fresh paint, and the possibilities are endless. Choose the color of the walls that will reflect the temperament of your child.
Blue, green, and brown colors will calm the space down, while red, purple, orange and yellow will make it more vivid. If your child is a cartoon lover or has a favorite animal, you can use wallpapers with print s of their favorite characters or animals.
Furniture
The furniture in your kid’s bedroom has to be safe and interesting. Maybe the good idea would be to equip the room with flexible, mobile furniture, which can be easily updated and supplemented with the necessary elements.
Children’s needs change, so will these elements. Although it seems more expensive at the moment, it eventually will bring savings.
The important thing is to select a quality bed and mattress. Sleep quality has a big impact on the concentration in learning and playing. Also, a good mattress helps your children with their posture.
Floor
The best solution for flooring in your kid’s bedroom is, definitely, a kid’s carpet. There is a wide selection of kids’ rugs on the market, made of polypropylene, synthetic yarn treated with anti-allergenic and anti-bacterial agents.
Also, there are a multiple design choices, which fit with the stylish furniture in your child’s bedroom.
Curtains
If the current curtains in the child’s room are monotone and boring, there is always the possibility to revive them by adding various accessories such as jewelry, belts, and decorative buttons.
It is also important to ensure quality protection from the sun. Your kid’s room must have the possibility of shading, which is best achieved through blinds. Match them with the colors and motifs of the room.
Storage space
Place enough shelves and drawers for schoolbooks and other supplies. Put them near the work table so everything that your child needs is at their fingertips. At the other part of the room, you can set closets, shelves for toys and other items that are not related to learning.
Make sure there is a part of the room that your kid will design according to his/her current preferences. It is a corner with posters or a board on which they can write, draw or hang their artistic and literary works.
Designing and arranging child’s room is a challenge but also an enjoyment, as you create a space that will be stimulating, imaginative and enjoyable for your child.
