My phone (and yours, I reckon) is one piece of gadget I can’t leave the house without. It may not be top-of-the-line, but it definitely has its uses.
On that note, for this particular article, I’m going to give you an overview of two phone add-ons. The first one I’ll be recommending, if the need so arises. But the other, well, let’s just say I have mixed feelings about it.
- Signal Booster
Years back, when cell phones were still considered discretionary items, I remember having to install an antenna similar to a TV antenna just so I was sure I got all the calls I should be getting.
It was one of those rarities when I would find myself glued to one spot of the house while chattering on the phone. The signal was so darn weak that if I turned to the left, I sometimes ended up losing whoever I was talking to.
The mobile phone and the technologies around it have evolved a whole lot ever since, but some things just don’t change, unfortunately.
It’s probably common knowledge by now that the farther away a cell phone is from a cell site tower, the weaker the signal becomes. Add building shielding effect and wireless transmission interruption into the mix and you’re bound to really have a very rough day, especially if you’re a heavy cell phone user.
Aside from staying in touch with the people you care most about and being available in times of emergency, if you’re an entrepreneur who relies a good deal on your phone for business continuity, investing in equipment to boost cell phone signal is a sound strategy.
MyAmplifiers.com is an online site where you’ll find signal boosting equipment that can be used in cars, homes and office buildings. These boosters are usually lightweight and compact in size that bringing them anywhere you deem necessary isn’t going to be a problem.
- Wireless Earpiece
Some people have the gift of charismatic public speaking. Others simply don’t. And then, there are those that don’t have the time to prepare for reasons ranging from the mundane to the necessary.
For those times when you can’t be caught off-guard, as this might mean the life and death of your business or career, a spy earpiece bluetooth just might be the very thing you need.
GSMEarpiece.com is a site that sells wireless earpieces. While the idea of having a wireless earpiece might be somebody’s idea of fun, for somebody else, it can mean a lot more than fun.
One example is, say, you’re in a business meeting, and for some reason unknown, you find yourself groping for the right words, this piece of equipment that’s inserted in your ear and connected to your mobile phone through Bluetooth technology can save the day.
Remember though, to make this work, you have to have a partner who’s willing to work in the background while you take the limelight.
All in all, I’d say this can be a really neat piece of device, except that I have a little problem with it. While going through the site, I realized that most of the customers who attest to the usefulness of the wireless earpiece are students who passed their exams with flying colors.
Being a mom and a firm believer in the value of education and hard work, I wouldn’t be so thrilled to find out that one of my kids actually used a wireless earpiece to pass an exam. Nope, not one bit.
