I love quotes.
If you live in a world similar to mine, you just might end up saying, who doesn’t? And right at this very minute, I can enumerate at least a dozen people I know who love quotes as much as I do.
Good quotes are, at the very least, thought-provoking. They encapsulate lessons, small and big ones at that, in a few lines. Big lessons in the sense that you have to put your mind to work and allow it to read between the lines.
My favorite quotes come from famous people, the likes of:
- Albert Einstein
- Benjamin Franklin
- Steve Jobs
- quotes from the Bible
And lately, my love for quotes have stepped up a bit, including people, who, in my younger days, I wouldn’t even consider hazarding a second look at, myself being more a fan of country and acoustics than hip-hop.
You may shoot me with your words. You may cut me with your eyes. You may kill me with your hatefulness. But still, like air, I’ll rise. – Maya Angelou via finestquote.com
