My BLOG-tism of Fire

August 7, 2011 by Maricel Rivera 4 Comments

Okay, so this is it – my first blog post ever!

I’ve been meaning to create one for ages now, but somehow a myriad of things had gotten in the way, and this blogging idea that had so consumed me, leaving me up at night even, had been left waiting in the sidelines. But hey, nothing’s stopping me now. So yes, let’s get it on.

Me, myself and I
You see, I’m a mother of three very active little kids – okay, my eldest is not so little now – and a working woman to boot. Sometimes, it can be a real challenge juggling my time between my family and my work, especially since I work miles away from home and I only get to see my kids during my Saturday and Sunday off days, but believe me, I’m not complaining.

As a matter of fact, during these very difficult economic times, I have a lot of things to be thankful for. And that starts with the fact that I have a very supportive husband, who makes sure the needs of our children are cared for despite him working himself.

He is self-employed so taking care of the children and looking after his work, not to mention our home, is all a matter of time management.

Knock, knock … who’s there?
Finding work closer to home is something that I know is in the horizon for me, but now is not yet the right time. I don’t know when that would be, but I am sure to recognize it as soon as it comes knocking at my door.
